I'm loving these guys!
The pair from New Zealand have a show on HBO and while it's a bit dry, it's hysterical.

I'm back!

It's been a while! They had a cookie blocker up on my computer at work but now it seems to be gone and they're allowing me to post again. Woo! That makes me happy, I'm caught up here at work and was looking at a long afternoon. At least now I'll have something to do.
Carol was nice enough to mention my blog which led me to try it again. So to thank Carol, here's a little eye candy...

Okay, that last one was for me but I don't think she'll mind.

Happy Birthday Mom!

It’s your birthday, Mom.
So I will raise a cheer.
For without you, wondrous person,
I would not be here.

Happy Birthday Jeannette!

On your birthday I wish you much pleasure and joy;
I hope all of your wishes come true.
May each hour and minute be filled with delight,
And your birthday be perfect for you!

From the Daily Mail...

Dame Maggie Smith is said to be battling breast cancer. Dame Maggie Smith is fighting a battle with breast cancer, it has been revealed today. The 73-year-old Oscar winner, best known in recent years for her portrayal of Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter films, is now undergoing treatment for the disease, according to the Daily Telegraph. Dame Maggie is said to have insisted on going ahead with filming the latest instalment of the hit series last month even though she was undergoing radiation therapy at the time. "She is dealing with it in her typically brave and understated way," one of her friends told the Mandrake column. "She has had a tumour removed and subsequently completed a course of chemotherapy. "This was precautionary and the prognosis looks good. The last thing she wants to do is to make a fuss about it." Dame Maggie has starred in such major films as The First Wives Club and Gosford Park over her 50-year career. She is best-known as Miss Jean Brodie, the fierce, Scottish teacher in the 1969 hit film of the same name, which cemented her position as one of Britain's most acclaimed actresses. She returned to the West End stage in November last year in The Lady from Dubuque. She is about begin work on Julian Fellowes' forthcoming film From Time to Time, filming for which has been put back to accommodate her treatment, according to the paper. After her divorce from the late actor Sir Robert Stephens, Dame Maggie married playwright Beverley Cross, who died 10 years ago. A spokesperson for Dame Maggie said that she was unable to comment.

I've really liked her since I saw her in Evil Under the Sun. I wish her the best for a full recovery.

Snoop Dogg is bringing some street cred to "One Life to Live." The 36-year-old rapper will make an extended cameo on the ABC soap opera to perform two songs from his new album, "Ego Trippin'," at the Ultra Violet club in the town of Llanview, the network said Thursday.
Snoop's episodes will air May 8 and May 9, and feature his re-mixed version of the show's theme song. He will also act in scenes."I've been a fan of `One Life to Live' since I was a baby," said Snoop, who's set to perform "Sensual Seduction" and "Life of Da Party.""My momma always had it on the tube in tha crib growing up. The opportunity to change up the theme song and give it some of my flavor will make the show the Life of The Party." Mary J. Blige, Nelly Furtado, Chris Botti, Erykah Badu, Timbaland and Keri Hilson have also performed on the show.

Ha! Snoop on OLTL, that's hysterical. I got a big kick out of watching Mary J. Blige perform for the rich white kids when she was on, I imagine Dorian and Vicki will be in front row for Snoop.

Mary Ann rocks the ganj!

MSNBC has this story so wonderfully written, I think I'll let them tell you...

DRIGGS, Idaho - Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann on “Gilligan’s Island,” is serving six months’ unsupervised probation after allegedly being caught with marijuana in her car.
She was sentenced Feb. 29 to five days in jail, fined $410.50 and placed on probation after pleading guilty to one count of reckless driving.
Under a plea agreement, three misdemeanor counts — driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance — were dropped.
On Oct. 18, Teton County sheriff’s Deputy Joseph Gutierrez arrested Wells as she was driving home from a surprise birthday party that was held for her. According to the sheriff’s office report, Gutierrez pulled Wells over after noticing her swerve and repeatedly speed up and slow down. When Gutierrez asked about a marijuana smell, Wells said she’d just given a ride to three hitchhikers and had dropped them off when they began smoking something. Gutierrez found half-smoked joints and two small cases used to store marijuana.
The 69-year-old Wells, founder of the Idaho Film and Television Institute and organizer of the region’s annual family movie festival called the Spud Fest, then failed a sobriety test.
Wells’ lawyer, Ron Swafford, said that a friend of Wells’ testified that he’d left a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle after using it that day, and that Wells was unaware of it. Swafford also said several witnesses were prepared to testify that Wells had very little to drink at the party and was not intoxicated when she left. He said she was swerving on the road because she was trying to find the heater controls in her new car.

At least her friend's going to bat for her. Really, what hitchhiker is going to leave their weed behind? At least now we know why her coconut creme pies were so good.
